The Cherokee associated this Day Sign as the Raccoon, known as the trickster of the Cherokee sacred calendar. So far today, the power cord for my computer disappeared and I just discovered that the post I’d prepared was completely off topic. (I considered suggesting that you just talk among yourselves.)

Today we may experience the Movement of Unconditional Love. Those born under the sign of Dog/OC are said to achieve success because of their understanding of Human Nature – “the ways of thinking, feeling and acting we come by naturally, apart from cultural influence.” (Wikipedia) Dog loves us unconditionally in spite of seeing our limitations, as well as our potential.
On our journey through life we all face disappointments, most often the result of our relationships with one another. And yet, one aspect of our Human Nature is to need one another. We weren’t meant to be alone. Today we are meant to come to the understanding that unconditional love is a necessity for our own happiness.

Star/LAMAT has brought me the awareness of Your Light. Yesterday’s Deer/MANIK revealed we are Spirit Tools of the Creator and offered Spiritual Gifts passed down from the Ancestors. This Truth applies to everyone. This feels very personal and each one of you has helped me keep going.
Maybe that’s what this Star/LAMAT trecena is all about. We aren’t just preparing to bring our own Light to the world, we will learn to shine our Light as One.

We are entering peak energies of the trecena as we arrive at Tone 6, led by the Day Sign revered as lord and chief of the Tzolk’in!
Bringing illumination and power to all aspects of our lives, AHAU prepares us for our highest potential. As we take on new power, Ahau calls us into humility. We may be tested.
It takes a conscious effort on my part to remember to share credit for my accomplishments. I’ve smiled and said thank you, then walked away remembering all the other people who helped make it possible. It can feel downright embarrassing when I realize I’ve just accepted all the credit.
