8 Deer / MANIK – A Vigil of Light: Day 8 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

8 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

On Tone 8 we are received by a Divine Agency that will begin the process of a new Transformation. The energy of Tone 8 is compared to the peak of a wave. Suddenly, what was all uphill is now flowing down in Divine Reciprocity. Peak Days are good for any endeavor that calls for our own Performance. Our Spirits are Raised by Divine Intervention. Sun/AHAU is the Master of Will and Performance. Tone 8 is the Day of Spiritual Experience.

The Deer/MANIK trecena raised a Light to the Divinity that the Creator shared with Human. We were offered a choice to serve a Divine Intention for the Greater Good of the Whole. The Sun/AHAU trecena Brings Light to our  Spiritual Resource. We didn’t walk alone. AHAU is the trecena of Divine Guidance by the Creator and the Ascended Masters. They show us the Truth of our Divinity, and the Power of our Love.

The Deer/MANIK glyph illustrates the Human Hand that grasps a current that completes the circuit of Divine Power. The eye reminds us that Deer serves as the Protector in vigilant watchfulness for the Whole.

Deer/MANIK is exalted on the Holy Day of the Sun/AHAU trecena. 8 Deer/MANIK is the Day of Initiation for the Mayan Priest. 8 is the number of Pure Spirit. Today is a Divine Initiation as an Agent of the Creator’s Light.

Deer/MANIK is a Blue Day Sign of the West. This is the direction of the “hard road of life” – Human’s journey through the darkness of the unknown. West is the direction that touches our emotions to expand our Heart. Through Divine Intervention, we are transformed by the Higher Love of the Creator.

Deer is the priest, medicine man, shaman, and way-shower who defends the people and makes sacrifices for others. Deer is capable to push away bad influences or negative energies. Silence itself is a Spiritual Experience for Deer, who holds the Power of Harmonic Resonance. 8 Deer/MANIK offers a Blessing of Purity of Spirit. This is a day of Great Love and Humility.

Deer/MANIK is an illustration of the “Christ Spirit” that is willing to sacrifice itself so that the Whole Would Know and be Changed by the Unconditional Love of God. Through a Divine Communion we know the depth of Human’s suffering, and are Humbled by the magnitude of our task.  Through an Initiation of Spirit, our Human Love is transformed into Divine Love.

Today we are made Conscious of our Spiritual Authority. We can experience a new Will to Accomplish our Dreams. The Deer MUST stand in its Truth because with Great Power comes the potential for Corruption. In Humility we can suddenly realize that our Suffering was the very Divine Sign of our Calling. Only by walking the Hard Road would we have the Humility and Compassion to have the Heart of Unconditional Love.

Unconditional Love is the Magic that Human was given to transcend our Human limitations. If the 7.5 billion people in the world lived in harmony, Dreaming Together, there is nothing we couldn’t accomplish or overcome.

To all my relations, may we See the Signs of new Strength within our Self. May we see the Holiness and Purpose of the Suffering. We Created a Reality in which we needed the Unconditional Love of the Creator.  Through an Initiation of Spirit, we can create a New Reality. May we thank the Creator that We Were Chosen, and Humbled that we answered the Call. A Divine Creator would Know that walking in the footsteps of a Savior, Human would Know the Highest Experience of Love.

in lak’ech, i am another you

8 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
