9 Serpent / CHICCHAN – Journey of Discovery: Day 9 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

9 Serpent / CHICCHAN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 9 holds the Intention of Patience for the purpose of seeing the bigger picture. Tones 8-13 represent our phase of Transformation. Our own effort toward Spiritual Growth teaches us something new. Transformation is the process of turning a new understanding in to a personal Truth. Truth is something we can use and apply to our everyday discernment. We are changed, and so is our world, by a new perception of its underlying Truth.

Just as Seed helped us to see our identity as a physical being, and that to grow to our full potential, we must cultivate a nurturing environment. Serpent/CHICCHAN helps us see that at the heart of our True Identity is a Seed of pure Spirit. We are Spiritual Beings living in a realm of physicality.

PORTAL DAY: Element of Ether  – Portal days help us see beyond the veil to other dimensions and magnify our experiences of Spirit. Portals have the power to Awaken our Spiritual Gifts. All our supernatural gifts, like Intuition, Telepathy, and Clairvoyance, are common for their characteristic of Knowing. A Portal will magnify the Truth of CHICCHAN, an influential energy of Spirit within.  A Portal will help us look deeper to complete a Higher Consciousness of this Truth.

Our new understanding is transformed into Truth with the aid of Divine Agency. The work we do Below is Balanced by an effort from the Above.  Truth we receive from Above comes as a revelation of Knowing. If we look closely at our experiences of revelation, we might notice that they don’t come as a result our own reasoning. Thinking and reasoning is unlikely to precede a revelatory experience.  Revelations, by definition, are thoughts that come out of the blue. When these revelations raise our Truth of Unconditional Love, we can discern them to be a communication from Divine Spirit.  Spirits of lower frequency communicate the negative emotion of fear.

Serpent/CHICCHAN represents the Spark of our Spiritual Being that can be felt by our Physical Being. CHICCHAN’s energy is closely related to the Seed. While the Seed contains the DNA for Body and Soul, CHICCHAN relates specifically to the Dragon Energy, the Spiritual Life Force within the Seed. The ability to “see clearly” is a characteristic of both signs.

Serpent/CHICCHAN can help us to clearly identify the Spark of our Spiritual Being as the source of our True Identity.  Our bodies are permeated with Etheric Energy. It is free to move around when we let go of lower energetic attachments. The more we let go of our attachments to “how things should be,” the more our Spirit is able to become the guiding force for our Spiritual Development.

Serpent/CHICCHAN offers the gift of a deeper awareness of our own Spark within. CHICCHAN is the catalyst of Spirit, said to “light the fuse that ignites” the Life Force of Spirit within. We are given an experience of Knowing to establish a Transformative Truth of our Identity as a Spiritual Being.

CHICCHAN offers a Movement of Spirit we are capable to feel in the Body. Today a revelation is accompanied by physical symptoms. As we are given a revelation of Truth, we can feel it as an electrical charge through the body that can raise our hair, bring on goosebumps, or strike as a gut feeling. CHICCHAN is directly related to the Kundalini energy that travels up our spine.

Like most of our Spiritual Experiences, we don’t notice the significance unless we are paying attention. We miss the significance because it’s a common experience. We fail to see the gift we have without the patience to think about it.  We’ve all walked into a room and had a sense the dynamics. We’ve all sensed a presence of danger. Our senses are “everyday.”

CHICCHAN energy helps us see it for what it is.  CHICCHAN can Spark a revelatory experience. Seed/KAN guided us to cultivate our environment for Higher Transformation. CHICCHAN brings a Force of Spirit to make the change, by allowing us to see what we need to change in a new way. Pay attention to your thoughts for something unexpected… like seeing something for the first time that you Knew all along. Every new Truth creates enduring change… “once you see it, you can’t un-see it” (magnified by a portal).

The Serpent grows by shedding its skin. So are we given the power to shed our “human skin of physical limitation,” so we can grow into the Truth of our Spiritual Identity. CHICCHAN is the most powerful Day Sign of “lightning in the blood.”

To all my relations, may we be Conscious of a Divine Energy that touches us today. May the experience complete a Truth that holds the Power of Transformation. When we experience it, may we Acknowledge it for what it is by having the Patience to look deeper into our own experience. 9 comes with a warning of suffering if we don’t pay attention. The suffering we can eliminate is a burden we already carry, the burden of believing we are merely a Human. May we see through an illusion of powerlessness to create the place we can grow.  As CHICCHAN brings a Gift of Spirit, may we position ourselves to Receive it.

in lak’ech, I am another you

9 Serpent / Chicchan (Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI)

Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.

Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.

Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
