MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 9 calls for our Patience. Under the Peak Energy of 9 our Transformation requires us to look deeper into our own Understanding. Tone 9 offers an Enlightenment that can only be seen from a Higher Perspective. 9 is intent on completing the incoming Light of Inspiration.
Dog/OC is positioned at the center of the Tzolk’in reminds us that Unconditional Love is a characteristic that is central to the Creator. Forgiveness is a Human construct. Forgiveness is an experience of Love that sees the fault and chooses to overlook the failing. The Divine Expression of Forgiveness is an eternal state of Grace.
If we look at Humanity from a Higher Perspective we see ourselves as a body of Consciousness that is struggling to Know Itself. Our lives were created as a dynamic illustration of the Power of the Creator’s Love to transform darkness to Light.
What makes our Human Love Divine is the Free Will we were given to Choose it. All the injustice of the world can be transformed through a Choice to Love.
The Wisdom of the Ascended Masters are Stories of Love and personal sacrifice. Our Human stories of Love are more often about a part of us that is missing, that we must seek and find to complete our own happiness. When this “right person” finally appears, all our needs for Love would be automatically fulfilled. We limit our opportunities to experience Love. The Divine Story of Love shares a Higher Perspective. Divine Love is easy to find. There’s an opportunity for Love in every Human we meet.
Dog/OC helps transforms us through an experience of Unconditional Love. Dog is the archetype that speaks more than a thousand words. If we look deeper into the personality of the Dog, we can see the “I Am” we were created to be.
Dog is Human’s most faithful companion. Dog is said to stay with us beyond death to guide our return trip back to the stars. The Creator promised to always be with us. The Creator is our eternal Soul Mate. A Creator that planned for our Happiness wouldn’t have limited the odds to finding one right person. Unconditional Love would always be close at hand. We can let go of our Human conception of Love to choose a Higher Love.
Dog/OC Dog Loves Love so much it lives for the next opportunity. Love is the end in itself that we can spread around at every opportunity. The Milky Way, the place where the Dog ran, holds one loving experience after another for as far as the eye can see.
When we operate solely in our Lower Self, we are in constant need of More Love. In Spirit, we can find all the Love we need. Our Emotions are healed by Love and we no longer need validation outside of our own. When we know the Unconditional Love of the Creator, our Joy becomes the Freedom to Be.
Today we are asked to look more deeply into our own experience to see how we’ve been changed by Love. What moments stand out the most? One of my most memorable moments of Love came from an 8th grade teacher I never liked. On the last day of middle-school he said, “I know a lot of you have struggled with your grades. Don’t be discouraged. Middle school is hard. A lot of students who don’t do well here turn into very good students in high school.” For me, it was a life-changing message.
We were an unruly class. The boys were full of high-jinx and the girls couldn’t stop laughing. (We were even cast out of church school one Sunday morning.) I’m sure Mr. Ramsey never had a clue I would carry those words for a lifetime. He is still important to me. I pass his words on every time I have the opportunity.
This has been a difficult trecena. This Mission in the realm of Spirit has felt like a disappointing effort. Glimpses of my Higher Self have been about all I’ve been able to imagination. It hasn’t felt like my best effort. I don’t know what I’m feeling. So, maybe my “reality” in the realm of Spirit feels like being invisible. I had the perception of being left out of important conversations. It was only by Divine Intervention that I didn’t respond without a full accounting of the facts. I had taken it personally – feeling I was “divinely called” to stand up and speak my truth. I had to run an errand, and in the 20 minutes, it was cleared as the “case of the lost emails.” Truth can be hard to discern. I’m more sure that we’re never “called” for a self-serving motive.
Both Dog and Monkey guide us to not take life so seriously. We offered ourselves to go with the flow. We are meant to Live and Love our Life, drawing Light from the beauty around us. Our Mission isn’t a forward charge, but the willingness to answer a call.
My Divine Call came yesterday – my bravest and only major accomplishment was to buy lunch for a man who was yelling at cars from the sidewalk. Again, I had time to think it over. He yelled at me in the morning as I started off to work. I wondered what I could do, and at what risk I was willing to do it. It became a calling when I found him on the same fast-food corner when I returned 6 hours later. He wasn’t begging, just lingering out in the cold.
By the time I was out of my car, he’d moved inside Kentucky Fried Chicken, huddled over his phone in a booth far from the front counter. I placed my order, summoned my courage, and gathered the offering from my purse. He was surprised when I approached his table. Then to top it off, I asked if he was the one I’d seen earlier in the morning. I quickly moved on to say it looked like he was having a bad day. I asked if I could buy his lunch, if that could make the day any better. He didn’t speak or indicate understanding, but received my gift. The exchange ended as they called my order. As I was leaving he looked over and our eyes met for a moment. I had been afraid of him. I imagined the isolation of people being afraid of you. His need was no different than mine. I needed to know I mattered. In that moment we mattered to each other. I’m sure a Divine Calling would always end with all parties being seen in their Highest Light.
The Cherokee Day Sign is the Wolf. The totem Wolf is our brother, one who shares our roots. They say that if Wolf ever becomes your totem, you will forever be part of the pack. Wolves are the connecting link between worlds. Dog/OC, the Wolf, draws the Unconditional Love of Infinity, Faithful to Lead us to the Creator. To Know the Creator’s Unconditional Love, we can look more deeply at the Dog. The Dog always greets us as the most important people in the world.
To all my relations, may we know that God created us for a Meaning and Purpose. We are each an important part of a Divine Plan. We are Loved by a Creator who wants us to know our lives are important. We were all created with a Dream of leaving something worthy behind. May we give thanks to the Creator who remembers all our stories of Love. May we remember the stories about the Love that has been given to us.
in lak’ech, i am another you

9 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI)
Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.
Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI: Wolf is symbolized by Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time. Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots. All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance. Wolves are a connecting link between the worlds; ones who inspire loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential. Wolf is the Day Sign of teachers, healers, pathfinders and transformers; sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb. OC-Totem –Dog: Loyalty and faithfulness that survives beyond death. This was the first day of creation energy in this 4th world, sets the energy for love, loyalty and faithfulness on the 5200 year cycle. Heart chakra energy is involved so that we can move to the state of “unconditional love” with compassion. All sexual desire issues that are not in harmony will surface to be cleared.
