THE TRECENA OF SERPENT/CHICCHAN: GIFTS OF SPIRIT
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 3 holds the Intention of Movement. The Serpent/CHICCHAN is guiding a new way by our Feelings. We can’t go back. To reach the Miracle, we have to keep moving on. Life begins with Movement. Through the Sound of movement or the spoken words of our Intention we bring a new Vibration to Life. The Tone and Frequency will carry on to the end, established by the Intention in the beginning.
The only way to get from Point A to Point B is to keep moving on. The Key to the Kingdom of a Divine Life depends on a steady course of perpetual movement.
Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest, holding the quality of Stability with one foot firmly planted in each of the 4 directions. We have to keep on Loving to maintain the Harmony of Right Relationship in the South. We have to keep on facing the Unknown Future in the West, standing on the Truth that Love will lead a way. We have to keep on applying our own Common Sense and Wisdom of Experience. The Answer is always right in front of us. The Deer stands in the West, guiding a way to an Altar of Light – facing the Sunrise of each new day.
Deer/MANIK is the giver of Spiritual Tools. MANIK holds the power of Harmonic Resonance. The Mayan priest doesn’t demand a way, but only carries on its own path to an altar. When others see the the priest kneel in humility at an altar, others remember their own way and drawn to follow.
The Deer’s most used tool is Vigilant Observation. The Deer holds the Inner Strength to stand silently and surely in a Place of Holy Ground. We will only fall short if we think we need to defend our ground. To hold our Ground we must remember the One Above who ALWAYS understands, and Loves us regardless how we might fail. To hold our Ground of Love we must remind our Self that Love is always seen in the end. Our Defense is a Higher Authority that knows our Heart.
Deer holds the Element of Water, the substance that holds the Essence of our Spirit. Water is a Sacred Spiritual Tool used by the priest for Baptisms, Blessings, Purification, and Initiations. Water also symbolizes the Moon and our Emotions. Deer/MANIK will lead us from the Heart. The glyph illustrates the Hand with forefinger and thumb grasping a thread of Ether that completes a Divine Circuit of Power that is the Creator’s Unconditional Love.
Deer is also known as “Hand” defining Human’s Mission to create a dedicated path to the altar on God’s Holy Ground of Love. Kneeling in the Light we will remember that moving for a Divine Cause will always result in a Divine Effect.
Intention is the Spirit’s way of movement. The only way to stay on the straight and narrow path of Love is by having a Divine Intention from the very beginning. The Elders said that the work of Spiritual Growth is “tracking the mind.” When we are in the middle of chaos it’s normal for Human thoughts to swing back and forth. When we hold an Intention, it’s easier to See the thoughts that lead us in the wrong direction. The only way to stand our Ground of Love is dedicating our Self to a Mission to Love.
With an Intention and Vigilant Consciousness we can Remember to turn away from negative thoughts. In HUMILITY we will see they never lead to a good end. Deer/MANIK offers one Divine Tool that is greater than every Human limitation, the Creator’s Divine Provision of Unconditional Love. When we admit we don’t have all the answers, and can’t conceive any way – we can hold on to the Promise of a Divine Provision. God Intended us to Know the Happiness of a Divine Life. We can let go in Humility, an Kneel to the One who Does know the Way and the Truth of Divine Justice in the end.
To all my relations, may we be Vigilant in our Prayers so we will Remember a Divine Authority beyond ALL Human power. May we kneel and count our blessings in the Light so our thoughts will be guided from Faith to Believing. May we claim a Divine Provision and the Greatest Power is Love. May we hold faith in our rituals and sacred ceremonies and a Promise of Answered Prayers. May we use the Key of Forgiveness to complete the Divine Mission on behalf of the Whole.
May we stand in Faith of a Miracle made possible by the One who will lead a way to Love, Remember, and Forgive. May we give thanks that a Supreme Creator began the First Vibration of Perfect Love and Harmony that will always be the Truth from the Beginning to the End.

3 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
