8 Monkey/CHUEN

Greetings Beloved Kin,

8 B’aatz (Monkey/CHUEN) is a Hero’s return and a Celebration of the Light of Humanity. Human’s orbit is based on our gestation cycle of 260 days. The calendars reveal Human’s “migration” of Consciousness from the beginning of our First Cell. Every 260 days we end a “time of life” and begin a new one.

Every Daykeeper receives the Initiation for the Count of Days on 8 Monkey/CHUEN. Like the Monarch Butterflies, every round completed is a 4th generation descendant of one who came before.

The Mayan New Year is the most celebrated Mayan Holy Day in all directions. The Mayan priest carries out the Sacred Fire Ceremony. Flowers adorn the altars.

The Mayan priest leads the Count of Days so that ALL the names of Humanity are spoken. The Count begins, 1 B’aatz, 2 B’aatz 3 B’aatz (ie. through all 260 days in local language). Your Mayan birthday and Name will be celebrated today with every ancestor and new generation. For your consideration the Mayan New Year Page offers a Meditation for your own sacred ceremony.

The Elders said that many are alone without a Spiritual Community to carry out the sacred ceremonies on our behalf. They said it is good and worthy to initiate our self. We can carry it out in our own way, with reverence for the old ways as proven and worthy tools we can borrow. We were taught to ask for forgiveness from the Old Ones for our errors in carrying it out in their Highest Way. Only, Today they are Seen and Acknowledged and we Celebrate as One. We are the last that completes a first.

The Sacred Fire Ceremony in Guatemala, celebrating the Maya New Year (8 Monkey/CHUEN - 8 B'atz)

Sacred Fire Ceremony for the Maya New Year, carried out by the priest near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Lake Atitlan is the deepest lake in Central America, visible from space. It is honored as the body of water on Earth that reverberates the Heartbeat of Mother Earth.

Symbol 10:11
Number 10 is a “Mayan Master Number” that represents the Highest Aspect of the Creator as Unconditional Love. Master Number 11 relates to the Source and the Light of Divine Inspiration. Together they hold the Elements of Air and Water, the Breath of Life and Human’s Life Blood. The Dog gathers Human’s Souls bound for Heaven, where our Gifts of Spirit are expanded by the Creator’s Offering of Divine Illumination.

8 Monkey/CHUEN marks a major milestone of Transformation. The Creation of Light and Love is exalted in the Zenith Hour of Light. The Time is ordered to choose the next journey.

The thing about Time is we don’t know when we reach the end of our powers of creation on Earth. Only the Living hold the Sacred Right of Choice.  When we dedicate our Life and every Day to the Lord of all Creation, we will be held under the Creator’s Wing forever. The Highest One will lead us beyond our limitations.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Revelation 22:1-5
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

Our Butterfly was set free in the 7th uinal. In the 8th uinal we are raised by the Hand of God through a Renewal of our Heart, Mind, Body and Soul. We can imagine the Scale of the major change ahead, comparing the Transformation of One Cell into a Living, Breathing, Loving Human Being. Through the Choice of God’s Will, there is no ceiling to the Dreams we can create with a Hand Above.

This is the Perfect Time to choose the Creator’s Divine Design and dedicate our Heart to the purpose. To raise our Consciousness to the Sacred Event may we draw the Sacred Breath to Count our Blessings, and Consciously Receive the Blessing of Living Water.

We can be One with the ceremonies carried out in the Maya lands by lightning a candle and raising our prayers on behalf of the whole.

love, in lak’ech, i am another you

Galactic Tone 8:  Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

A GOOD DAY TO: Begin anything new in your life.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.
