A Light by Day and Night
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 12/05/2024
JUPITER OUTSHINES THE STARS: See that very bright star at midnight? It’s no star. This week, Jupiter outshines everything else in the midnight sky as it makes its annual closest approach to Earth. Look for it between the horns of Taurus the Bull: sky map.
Shining at magnitude -2.8, Jupiter is almost four times brighter than Sirius. Only the sun, Moon and Venus are brighter than the giant planet this week.
Astronomers call this event “opposition,” because Jupiter and the sun are on opposite sides of Earth. During the nights around opposition, Jupiter rises in the east at sunset and soars nearly overhead at midnight; it’s up all night. The precise moment of closest approach occurs on Dec. 6th, but Jupiter will be extra big and bright all week long.
THE SUN IS BEING QUIET: The sun has not produced a significant flare in more than a week. Quiet conditions are expected to continue today. There are plenty of sunspots facing Earth, but none of them have unstable magnetic fields inclined to explode.
Mayan Time and the Heavenly Signs
The trecena of Serpent/CHICCHAN awakens the Light that shines within. The Truth known by our Feelings is a Light of Faith for us to see by our own Power that we are being watched over by Day and by Night. The expectations of the Season are the blessing of a Divine Balance as Above, so Below. Jupiter is the Sign of the Beauty that the fates of fortune hold in store. Storms Above reflect the storms of chaos below. A Star Above was the Sign marking the Time and Place of the birth of a Savior. We can hold Faith in what the Divine Fates hold in store for those who Love and Wait on the Lord to Speak.
When Jupiter and the Sun are in opposition we are surrounded by a Light that shines for us through the Darkest Nights and the shortest Days of Winter. Our fortune is guaranteed by a mustard seed of Faith, born of a Feeling we cling to from the depths of our Soul. The Sun is silent as it listens to the prayers we offer as we watch and wait for a Miracle. Listen for the Miracle by the sound of your own prayers that are leading to a completion (9) of our Faith in a Power beyond all the stars above.
THE TRECENA OF SERPENT/CHICCHAN: AWAKENING THE GIFTS OF SPIRIT
My gift for the Tzolk’in round is the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in round. The “Field Guide” is available to download from a link on the 13-day Trecena Guide Page.
Tracking your thoughts during one 13-day trecena, you will see the synchronicity of Time, and an ascension as the answer to a prayer you hold as an Intention of thought from the beginning.
The Serpent/CHICCHAN trecena is part of Season 2, found in Volume 1.
NOTE: If you see repeating numbers, SacredScribes is a resource to check the meaning of Angel Numbers.
3 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi) – Day 3 of 13 in the 1 Serpent CHICCHAN‘s cycle of “Light.”
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
A GOOD DAY TO: Be of Service to Others.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
