New candles have been added to refresh the Light of this Sacred Day. And, some new Kin and Spirits invited in for the Sacred Event.

My first order of the day was to clear the dining room table to set the altar to honor YOU. I’ll find and add the birthday candles in Red, Yellow, Blue, and White for this evening when the party begins.

Today marks another end and beginning. We were given the Sacred Right of Choice to rise from the ashes of our past. The way of the Mayan calendars is a Choice to Count the Days and honor every one as a Sacred Event. With every Sunrise we are offered a New Day to Live Again.
The Elders always said that you can change your life in 4 days of Sacred Ceremony. It only takes 4 days of retreat from the world to Remember the Truth of your Divine Identity. It only takes 13 days to see there’s a Divine Meaning and Purpose for Time that leads to the Truth of Answered Prayers.
In the language of the Maya, WAXAJQIB is the Number 8 that means “pure spirit.” The Tzolk’in New Year is a celebration of the Hero’s journey. Since the first round, I’ve imagined the return surrounded by all the “lords of the Day” that were with us every day, and a welcome party waiting to see us turn the last corner.
This is the Monkey’s party. The Sacred Ancestors that have “been there and done that” before are the ones waiting with open arms. For all the Monkey business it takes to find our way back home, they are the Ones who want to hear the WHOLE story and see every battle scar. That’s the heroes story.

8 Monkey/CHUEN (8 B’atz) marks “the beginning of the world” under the Intention of Divine Justice. Monkey/CHUEN is exalted in the zenith Hour of Light.
The first New Year was marked by the K’iche tradition in the South, and carries on in Harmony in the North. Each medicine wheel turns in an opposite direction, and the oldest wasn’t numbered Destiny Kin #1. Destiny Kin #131 is the first day of the round by K’iche count, on 1 Monkey/CHUEN.
The New Year marks the Beginning of Human’s transformation to Higher Consciousness. Every Divine Transformation begins on Tone 8. This Holy Day is a Celebration of Knowing the world is ours to Create, and we were given the Beauty in every Direction as the Muse for our Life’s Masterpiece.
The New Year manifests the Truth of ALL the Divine Ones we can choose to be. Every 260 days, Time is split apart between the darkness and the light of Truth. The darkness raised the question of Consciousness to Light. Turning the other way from 1 Monkey/CHUEN, the K’iche celebrate the Wisdom we are Born Knowing. They face the darkness with the Innocence of Love, to know there’s a way and the end will lead to the Harmony of Right Relationship. Either way, 8 Monkey/CHUEN marks a Special Time of Harmony and the Divine Justice that honors each and everyone in the Here and Now.
8 Monkey/CHUEN is the Truth of Human’s Divine Power of Consciousness, and a Celebration of all the Love we’ve seen on the way. It’s a day to go back to where we started again, since we hold Monkey’s gift of ALL Time. The Monkey’s curiosity for Life is the Mystery, how we figure it out. CHUEN is the alchemist engaged in a Divine Experiment to turn our Heart to Gold. Through the Element of Water, CHUEN reveals the Power and Mystery of the Human Spirit, drawn Higher by Light and Love. The “matter” of a seed is as humble as a piece of dirt, though it’s held together with Love inside for a Life that is waiting to be. Every day given is the Gift for tomorrow.

Tone 8 begins the Transformation phase of every trecena, from the Higher Ground of the Ascension that came before. Our last trecena was guided by Monkey/CHUEN, guiding us to Create the Beauty of our Heart’s Desire. The Dream was given to the Heart of Seed/KAN so we could experience the Beauty for our own Design. On Tone 8 we celebrate the Power of Consciousness – the Gift to Create our own world.
As Above, So Below. The Number 8 (Waxajqib) is the symbol of “pure spirit” and Abundance to Infinity. We honor the Whole that made the journey together, the 20 Divine Perspectives that guided Human’s Ascension to Higher Ground. A Supreme Creator intended Divine Justice for every One. On the New Year the 260 Destiny Kin are blessed by name, honoring every Human, and the All-in-One.
With the Dog by its side, CHUEN creates the Beauty of Love and weaves Life into a thing of Beauty. 8 Monkey/CHUEN completes Human’s orbit of Creation. The Creator intends for us to see the Light of New Wisdom. A Divine Agency Intervenes to prove how far we’ve come.
Monkey/CHUEN resides in the West, the direction of the Unknown and Unlimited Possibility. The Element of Water holds the Ether of Spirit used by the Mayan priest for Baptisms, Blessings, Purification, and Initiation. The New Year marks the Initiation of those who choose to dedicate themselves to Count the Days, to Acknowledge the lords of every Sacred Day that share the Light of the all-in-one.

8 Monkey/CHUEN (8 B’atz) marks the completion of the Daykeeper’s journey from “the beginning of the world.” Tone 8 represents the Justice of Harmony and Equity, the Creator’s Highest Intention of Love. God intended to Love us all the same and bless us all the same. Unconditional Love was the Only Way for the all-in-one to be seen equally in the Light.
As Above, So Below. The Number 8 (Waxajqib) is the symbol of “pure spirit” and Abundance to Infinity. The New Year marks the Divine Justice for a Human Creator of Love. Monkey/CHUEN is the Weaver of Time and the Master of Art who weaves our Life into a thing of Beauty. Monkey/CHUEN walks side-by-side with the Dog. With the Wisdom of Love held by the Dog, CHUEN creates the Beauty of Life from all the experiences of Love that the Dog marked as buried treasure.
Every journey of creation is a “hard road” for Human who must hold Faith in the Unseen. 8 Monkey/CHUEN is the return of Human’s orbit. By an Intention of Divine Justice, the Creator intends for us to see the Truth of our Journey and the Light of Wisdom we brought back home for a new experience of Life on Earth. We are children of an expanding Universe. Every journey we make leads us back home to the Higher Ground of Knowing. A Divine Agency will Intervene to prove how far we’ve come.
Monkey/CHUEN resides in the West, the direction of the Unknown, CHUEN’s canvas of All Possibility. Holding the Element of Water and the Ether of Spirit, CHUEN holds the Truth of the Beauty in its Heart. With the Consciousness of Eternal Love and a Divine Provision for creation, the Monkey grasps the Power of Love to manifest the Beauty of our Time. Beauty is created by every Intention of Love.
Happy New Year. You are the sweetest things on my altar this New Year, all the little circles of you and all the colors of the sprinkles that make a doughnut even more sweet. I found a gardenia as my first flower plant for the balcony – my favorite smell. The finch are starting to gather. Last year they came when it was time for the babies to fledge. Someone up there in the nest is about to start a new life too and find out they can fly.
