8 Offering / MULUC – Living as a Creator: Day 8

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

8 Offering / MULUC

Greetings Kin,

8 Offering/MULUC is the Holy Day of an Offering and an Atonement. By Offering to live our lives in the Authenticity of our Truth, our Lower and Higher Self are equally balanced in a Trinity as One with the Creator.

We work our way up a pyramid, experiencing Life as our Lower Self. We struggle to employ our Spiritual Understanding as a process of growing our Spiritual Strength. As we begin to Descend, a Divine Agency draws the Light of Divine Discernment from Above to Below. Kukulkan, the “Plumed Serpent,” that descends the stairs of the pyramid at Chich’en Itza, is a demonstration of Spiritual Fire, like the Serpent/CHICCHAN, that brings our “lightning in the blood.”  Today a Divine Truth begins it’s descent from Above to Below to begin a new Transformation.

Our last trecena was led by Offering/MULUC. The leader of the last trecena always reappears as Tone 8 in the following trecena. Tone 8 elevates our last Ascension with a Higher Truth of Divine Discernment.

Offering/MULUC is a symbol of water everywhere from the cosmos to our own tears. Holding the Element of Fire, MULUC symbolizes the Holiness of Water. Water is the Element capable to hold the Ether of Spirit. MULUC calls for an Offering. We can Offer our Whole Self to receive a Blessing of Holy Water for the Purification of our Emotions. On the Tone 8 of Justice, the two sides of our Self are brought into Harmony and Equity.

Equity means that both the Lower and Higher Self work together in an equal exchange. The Higher Self sacrifices itself for the good of the Lower Self. The Offering called from the Lower Self is to accept the experiences that are necessary for its transformation. By surrendering Discernment to the Higher Self, we’re able to stand in the Truth of our Integrity. By an Offering of Free Will, the Lower Self surrenders to Be Who We Really Are.

We could think of all the ways we compromise our own Truth. Even when we hold the Highest Intentions, our Lower Self is fearful of what others might think, or the personal consequences in being honest. When we are afraid of our own Truth, our Emotions call for a Divine Discernment. Our Higher Self needs an environment of Truth to operate in its Authority.

I had a synchronicity with the Tone 7 of Reflection and 8 Offering/MULUC in the middle of the night. Star/LAMAT was magnifying the Sound of my Voices. I was going to bed early due to the stress of the day. A Voice reminded me that I hadn’t APPLIED the Reflection for Tone 7. I went to bed anyway. I realize now it was my Higher Self.

I was called out of bed at 1:00 AM, awakened by thoughts of an injustice like an alarm from my Lower Self. (Our Lower Self will keep telling us when we are not in Harmony with our Self.) When I saw the time, I wanted to go back to bed, but my Higher Self was already busy in the process of Reflection.

I volunteered to help with a big work project. It took a turn from accommodating to being subject to demand, and ways of working that would be a lot harder than they had to be. Because this person is in a position of authority, though not MY authority, I felt powerless in the whole process. I could only see an endless trail of demands that I was powerless to stand up to without ruffling feathers. My Lower Self issued all the reasons it was unfair. The the fruit of its reflection was no more than a Powerless Defense. I found myself reflecting on how the whole thing started. Ultimately, the Divine Discernment was to simply share the facts of my schedule and how much time I had to offer, to negotiate how we could accomplish the task in the available time. Instead of “I can’t do that,” it became “here’s what I can do.”

It’s a miracle I had to see for my Self. The miracle wasn’t coming up with the right approach, so much as realizing how a Divine Discernment immediately turned off the alarm of my Ego. In the moment the answer came, I was returned to Peace and Harmony. The nature of my job is to volunteer my time, I could see this was also the Higher Outcome for the good of the Whole. I experienced a Higher Love for my Lower Self. It was not as contrary as I thought. An Intention brought to Life, guided a transfer of Power to my Higher Self. And, between the Reflection and Divine Justice I was offered a Divine Discernment.

When our Lower Self is given the Intention to Willingly Transfer Power, it brings an Offering of Fair Exchange. The Higher Self offers guidance and discernment, and the Lower Self surrenders to the consequences of Standing in Truth.

We all wish we had a Protector… a Savior to watch over us and rescue us anytime we had a problem. “We are the One we are waiting for.” This is exactly how our two sides would Divinely Work together.

The MULUC glyph illustrates a single drop of water suspended above the Whole. When we Offer our Selves, we are raised up to be seen through the Divine Discernment of the Creator. As we see that our Justice is Measured by the value of Intention we brought to Life, we receive the Purification of Unconditional Love.  Our Atonement sends ripples through the Whole as we are rejoined as One.

The Cherokee Day Sign, The River, calls us to let go in a flow of Spirit and risk everything to be who we are. This is a day to bring an Offering of Gratitude for our Emotions. This is the language of the Heart that the Higher Self can translate by Divine Discernment. This is a day to Honor our emotions and the emotions of others.

To all my relations, may we hold Gratitude and Appreciation that we can grow to Know our Self. We were created to Be Who We Are. We always exist in Unconditional Love, and are given the Free Will to return it through an Offering of Our Self. May we be grateful to Know a Way to Live in Peace and Harmony with our Self, and be willing to give of our time to the process of Reflection and Divine Discernment. An Offering should reflect the value we place on the Gift we are Given. May we Humble Our Selves in the acknowledgement that the Gift of Divine Justice is beyond our own understanding to measure. And, may Divine Agency Purify our Intention, so it would be worthy as an Offering.

in lak’ech, i am another you

8 Offering/MULUC (Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA)

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.

Offering/MULUC: Also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in offering people and so extend them little trust and may even slap blame on them.

Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA:  The River is symbolized by The Milky Way, the Gihli’Utsun’stanun’yi “Where the Dog Ran” to gather the souls for Heaven.  The River is the minion for Grandfather Moon.  Long Man is the personification of the River stretching from the mountains to the lowlands, speaking to those who can understand.  People of this sign find “sermons in the stones” and good in everything.  These souls march to a different drummer, driven by inner volcanic forces.  The River is the “Fountain of Life” and represents the fluid of the cosmos to fluids in the body, with the energy to clear all karmic debts, personally and on a mass level with fluidity and grace.  The Moon controls our fluid cycle, to clear and understand emotional issues.  When you take this step to clear the emotional body, then you are ready for transformational energies at the next level.  As humans, our actions are ruled by our emotions, the key is to understand the connection and honor the emotions.
