The Deer/MANIK trecena focuses on our relationships with one another and our walk in the world. As symbol of the Mayan Priest, Deer will guide us to put our Spiritual Gifts to work to become Agents of God.

Our highest intentions for this trecena will be in establishing peace and harmony. If we remember to pay attention, we’ll hear people telling us what’s needed in our every encounter. Together, we can exponentially multiply peace and harmony in the world.

We can employ our Spirit Tools of being vigilant and looking for the deeper meaning, to discover more Spirit Tools that will be just as meaningful.

Deer/MANIK is the sign of the Mayan Priest. Guided by Manik, We will be fired and proven as worthy Spirit Tools to be used by God’s hand.

A Vision Quest is meant for us to set the world aside for a time to immerse ourselves in the world of pure Spirit. Taking time to ourselves from the cares of the world we are able to see ourselves through God’s eyes. We can see the True value of who we are, beyond any evaluation or standards of conformity that the world might impose.

At the conclusion of any sacred ceremony is that bridge we must cross that leads back into our real-world environment. How can we hold on to the new ground we have gained when we have to face the real people and situations in our lives?

I do feel elevated to a higher state of consciousness, but what I thought would feel like a supernatural experience, feels more like just paying attention.

I was the target of road rage on 10 Akbal (Manifestation) and was surprised at my knee-jerk response. I added unnecessary misery to the world by not just ignoring it. People are struggling. WE have to be the Light.  The small ways are the most important.

Wind/IK is the Holy Communion with Spirit upon reaching our destination. Here we lay down our burden and we are received by God as the beloved.

Once again, Crocodile/IMIX reminds us to be vigilant in our thinking. I’ve been giving thought to the dreams that never got off the ground.

I’ve always wanted to write a children’s book. I’ve had a good 40 years of adulthood. I’m sure I could have kicked out one by now.

Upon deeper inspection, the only thing holding me back was my thinking. There isn’t one step that couldn’t have been figured out in 40 years… maybe even less than 5.

Some dreams stay dreams. We choose the ones that become intentions. Sun/AHAU sheds more light on our thinking. We can see the truth of where we really stand, and are given the vision to see if our dreams can come true.

AND, it’s a GREEN DAY that magnifies what we focus on and gives us unusual gifts.

I’ve found most of my sorrows are tied to the ways others have disappointed me. I can’t be disappointed unless I have expectations. Our full surrender to Divine Will includes letting go of flimsy rules about how our needs must be met. Surrendered to Divine Will our needs can be fulfilled for the highest good of all.

Tone 10 asks us to acknowledge what we have manifested or transformed through the cycle of this trecena. Dog/OC guides us to make our assessment through the eyes of unconditional love.
