2 Earth/CABAN – Choosing our Dream

2 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)

2 Earth Caban

2 Earth Caban

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.

Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hail)

Choosing our Dream

At Tone 2, we can consider the idea or intention we would give our attention to during this trecena. Wisdom/CIB guides us as the keepers of ancient wisdom. Given access to the knowledge of all time, where would you seek to find greater understanding? Would you even know what to ask? Our best question may be “what would YOU have me know?”

Earth/CABAN brings all the power of the dynamic forces of nature. Earth has the power to make all things new. CIB knows the changes that would best serve us, what we are capable of, and what we are ready to learn. As we are prepared to make choices, help us to be open to the new possibilities we may yet have the vision to see.

As student, our job is to be present and teachable.

To all my relations, from the womb of all creation may we be born as something new. May I be open to a new understanding so that I may seek my highest calling.

1 Wisdom/CIB – Expecting Miracles

1 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’   O’JJ)

THE TRECENA OF WISDOM/CIB

1 Wisdom/CIB

1 Wisdom/CIB

Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work bestt when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.

Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign, enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valieant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons. (A good day to sit on a rock.)

Cherokee, Owl/U’GUKU’   O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes.  Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritive.  Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.

Visit the Tzol’kin Page for additional insight on the Wisdom/CIB trecena.

Expecting Miracles

On Tone 1, we begin again. We are welcomed to a new trecena under the guidance of Wisdom/CIB. CIB embodies the wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom comes from all directions to be present with us in the here and now. We bring the new Spiritual Gifts we were presented by Akbal to lay them at the feet of our ancestors so that we may be given the wisdom to use them for their highest purpose.

We will be opened to new wisdom as we are able to bend in humility to the guidance of the wise ones who have gone before. Theirs are the enduring stories, the lessons passed down over the ages from one generation to the next. From the Truth we may learn under CIB’s guidance, we are prepared to write a new story… for EVERY Spirit brings forth new lessons and experiences worthy to be carried forward to the next generation.

In the Medicine Circle, I was taught that when one approaches a teacher for guidance they should bring a bountiful offering in proportion to the wisdom they expect to receive.

The Christmas season is a time of expectations. As children, we have been taught by both Christian and secular traditions that we have something to look forward to. I still believe in the miracles of the season.

The holidays are a time when I anticipate a new Spirit Gift in the way of a new piece of wisdom… a revolutionary insight. I have never failed in receiving the gift. Sometimes the gift has been a painful self-discovery, though each year the gift has been easily recognized as a blessing for the new understanding and peace they bring to my life.

As we begin our journey through Wisdom/CIB, let us come with our highest of expectations. Day 1 is the day for a new inspiration. Expect a new idea, something more wonderful than you have thought of before. Expect to learn something new. Expect a miracle.

To all my relations, we are the students – prepare us to receive the grand lessons of the ancient ones. Let the gifts and the attention we bring honor the ancient ones and reflect our highest expectations.

13 Eagle/MEN – Vision from Spirit

13 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)

Mayan Glyph, 13 Eagle/MEN

13 Eagle/MEN

Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.

Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.

Vision from Spirit

Galactic Tone 13 is the Tone of Ascension. We are completing our journey through the trecena of Night/AKBAL and preparing to ascend to the next higher level.

Following the Tzolkin we are made aware of a pattern or rhythm of energies. Every trecena begins and ends with the guidance to reflect and do our inner work. On the first two days of every trecena we draw our inspiration for the road ahead. On the last two days, we reflect on what we have learned.

Tone 13 of ascension gives us the vision to see what we have accomplished. The Day Sign of Eagle/MEN makes the connection between heaven and earth so we may draw understanding from our highest authority in Spirit.

Eagle broadens our perspective and gives us the vision to see the far-off distance. If we look back, we can see how much we have grown. As we look forward, we can see to a farther horizon. With Eagle Vision, we are able to see what new tools we may bring to serve the journey ahead.

We are capable of more than we realize. We can draw a clearer vision of ourselves through the eyes of the Creator. In the light of the Creator’s unconditional love, we realize we are more than just enough. We are no more or no less than all that has come before. We carry within us the fire of the Holy Spirit that connects us to all that is.

Eagle opens the channel to Spirit. We can enter into this communion with humility and gratitude, giving thanks for what we have received and to ask for guidance and direction.

To all my relations, may I enter into the silence where I may hear the voice of Spirit. May I see myself through the eyes of unconditional love and give thanks for all we are given. May I be opened to receive a new understanding and the Truth that Spirit would have me know.

12 Jaguar/IX – Gifts of Spirit

12 Jaguar/IX (Cherokee, Panther/SAHO’NI)

Mayan Glyph, 12 Jaguar/IX

12 Jaguar/IX

Galactic Tone 12: Twelve is a gift of great capacity of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.

Jaguar/IX: Born with a deep love of the Mother Earth, Jaguar or shaman is directly tied to the source of all Earth magic. They possess great power of intellect and strength or character through integrity. Jaguar energy is feminine in nature and is the ruling spirit of jungles, plains, and mountains. The spirit of Jaguar inhabits the Mayan temples and is called on to assist in spiritual as well as in material ways. Jaguar is also the god/goddess of gratefulness. Patience born of strength and skill can turn to pounce of quick decision and action. Both bold and stealthful, Jaguars do not often attack directly and communications from them usually contain some mystery. In the absence of integrity, Jaguars power corrupts becoming a search for wealth and fame.

Cherokee, Panther/SAHO’NI: Panther is symbolized by comets, meteors, shooting stars, fireballs, and magicians.  Meteors appearing around the middle of November are Heralds of the Coming of the Light, the Cherokee New Year. Panther is the Shadow of the Sphinx, Herald of the Dawn, guardian of the night when the sun is traveling through the underworld. Panthers have unlimited imaginations, visualizations, and are spellbinding speakers. The Totem Jaguar is the guardian of the portals to other dimensions; shamanic abilities will open; multi-dimensional magic; healer, leader, way shower energy when used for spiritual growth.  Abuse would be for using this power for control or negative purposes; must find a powerful balance.

Visit the Tolkin Page for additional resources and insight on the Trecena Night/AKBAL.

Gifts of Spirit

Jaguar/IX presents a time when new portals and dimensions are open to us. On this day, as the ‘Coming of the Light’ we are open to receive our spiritual gifts. Tone 12 empowers our gift of retrospection and insight. We are given Jaguar vision to see something we haven’t seen before.

Among all the Day Signs, IX is the one most capable to open us to our highest levels of consciousness. IX is the Magician who holds the memory of the Earth’s creation. IX has the power to communicate between the real and the unreal, the positives and negatives, the possible and the impossible. Guatesol

We are the Ones we have been waiting for. We are encouraged to seek our inner knowing. We must divorce ourselves from all personal motives to receive our gifts in full measure. What gifts we may be given will only endure to serve the good of all.

As such, IX calls us to be in good standing with one another. Only through right relationships are we able to see what is truly needed and how our gifts can be most helpful.

To all my relations, may I greet this day with the anticipation and in gratitude for the new understanding it will bring. May I be made worthy through my highest intentions to receive the gifts that would be presented to me. Help me see beyond my own personal gain so that I may know where healing and light is most needed to serve the greatest good for all.

11 Reed/BEN – Connection to Spirit

11 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed I’hya)

11 Reed/BEN

11 Reed/BEN

Galactic Tone 11: Resolution; 11 assists every new thing to find its place in the universe in the process of ‘fitting in.’ some modifications must occur. Eleven is the energy of dynamic actions facilitating change, simplification and improvement.

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeaver to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, many have marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.

Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind.  A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.

Connection to Spirit

We are making a journey through the 13-day trecena of Night/AKBAL. Each day leads through a passage of darkness and the unknown where all potential lies. Through this cycle we may be opened to the highest source of inspiration and guidance, our connection to Spirit.

Spirit is the still small voice within from which we can draw the Truths that sustain us and show the way. Spirit is the Sacred Fire at the altar within.

From the symbology of the glyph, the vertical lines at the top illustrate the nourishment coming down from the sun. The vertical lines at the bottom represent the reeds or cane plants. In Native American teachings, the reed represents the hollow tube through which Spirit descends to the people. The horizontal line is the altar and the cross woven lines depict the reed mat, used for kneeling in front of the altar.

We make our connection by kneeling at the altar of our own Spirit. Here in the silence we have a direct correspondence with Spirit of the Heavenly realms. When we come forward in humility seeking the highest good of all, we are opened to inspiration beyond the limits of our own dreams.

The Night/Akbal trecena is guiding us to see our unlimited potential. At Tone 11 we are encouraged to seek clarity from what we have experienced, as Reed/BEN opens the channel to Spirit. Through our connection to Spirit we are offered a new understanding of our unlimited potential to prepare us for our next journey.

To all my relations, may we be ever grateful for the freedom to choose our own paths. May I be open to hear the guidance from Spirit that leads me forward to the path of my true life’s purpose.

P.S. (Personal Synchronicities)
I responded to a delayed Thanksgiving text message on my phone. I received a response back, saying it was Kmart who was in possession of the lost phone. I had no way to reach my friend 2,000 miles away in Tucson. I emailed a mutual friend in Mexico, who knew other mutual friends on facebook. She was able to track down the friend’s sister who called her son who lives nearby. She still doesn’t know it, but a long line of connections are in process of returning her phone from a text that was sent to Washington state.

10 Road/Eb – The Sacred Path

10 Road/EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/Kanu’ga)

10 Road/EB

10 Road/EB

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.

Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/Kanu’ga: Symbol is Rainbow, a delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. The Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcererkh; Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.

The Sacred Path

The Day Sign Road/EB is the sacred path, the journey to our self-realization and life fulfillment. We are finding our way along the road of life. In fact, the journey is our destiny. The roads we travel connect us to people and places, and serve as the connection between the heavenly and earthly realms.

Our journey can only be accomplished one step at a time. Each one is important. Our first step is to acquire the motivating belief in our dream. We must have a clear vision of what we would intend to create and why it is important to us. Next, our motivating belief fuels the fire of our determination. We are empowered to take action when we are motivated by what is dear to us. Our dreams are what guides us to our life purpose. Even then, we need to stop along the way to see where we are.

At 10 Road/EB we can see how far we have come. There is no turning back to the world we knew before. Our journey has led us to a new destination. We must remember that any journey has its setbacks. We are guided by the Truth we learn along the way.

To all my relations, give me the vision to see the progress I’ve made. Help me to view my setbacks as helpful lessons. Open me to the inspiration I may find in my dearest dreams so I may keep on going. And, may I be divinely guided to set a new course for the next horizon.

9 Monkey/CHUEN – The Art of Play

9 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, 9 Raccoon/KVH’LI)

9 Monkey/CHUEN

9 Monkey/CHUEN

Galactic Tone 9/BOLON: Solar; mobilize; constant; perseveres.

The energy of Nine is one of getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine, plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action are all-important to Nine.

Monkey/CHUEN: Transforms (Color: Black;  Direction: West; Element: Water)

Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoon is full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.

The Art of Play

Tone 9 guides us to see from a broader perspective. Day Sign Chuen arrives as the Weaver of All Time and Master of all Arts. Monkey demonstrates that we can access Spirit through the Art of play. When we are lost in play, we engage in a limitless expanse of all time and possibility.

Some remarkable discoveries have been made by people who were playing around. Take Corn Flakes. In the process of bread-making, Will Keith Kellogg left some boiled wheat on the stove too long. It became a flakey goo. He was curious to see what would happen if he baked it.

Our greatest inspirations can be born when we’re not bound by a set of pre-existing limits or standards. Monkey frees us to go out to play. We have the whole universe of our imaginations to play with and the gift of the natural world to explore and inspect up close.

To all my relations, help me to travel far away from the thoughts of daily life to the place where I can play and dream. Help me to treasure the simple joys of being in the moment where I am One with all that is.

8 Dog/OC – As Above, So Below

8 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/WOLF/KANA’TI)

8 Dog/OC

8 Dog/OC

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.

Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers

Cherokee, 8  WOLF/KANA’TI: Wolf’s symbol is Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visable but never at the same time.  Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots.  All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance.  Connecting link between the worlds. One who inspires loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential.  A teacher, healer, pathfinder and transformer.  Sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb. Totem -Dog.  Loyalty and faithfulness that survives beyond death.  This was the first day of creation energy in this 4th world, sets the energy for love, loyalty and faithfulness on the 5200 year cycle.  Heart chakra energy is involved so that we can move to the state of “unconditional love” with compassion.  All sexual desire issues that are not in harmony will surface to be cleared.

As Above, So Below

Both Galactic Tone 8 and Dog/OC speak to us about justice and harmony. The teaching, “As above, so below” illustrates that what is held as intention by the higher self, is reflected in the physical plane. This principle offers justice and harmony for all.

The power is not in the intention itself, but in the attention we are willing to invest into it. We have to first ‘see’ the completion of our intention in Spirit (above) for it to be created on the physical plane (below). As we are able to see and fully-experience our dream we are empowered to make it real.

Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Mark 11:24

Believing isn’t easy. Our greatest challenge is to simply believe in our dreams and in our own unlimited power. By nature, we need to see some evidence to form the belief. Really seeing our dream and believing it can become real, requires work and an investment of our personal time.

How much time do we actually spend, seeing our dreams? The outer would have us believe that daydreaming is a waste of time, yet it is the very key to creation. This is where our Spirit Tools come in handy. We are nurtured by ANY daily practice that provides a time to reflect and be centered in our gratitude.

Here we are able to realize the Truth – that we are unconditionally loved and guided, and that our dreams are the result of a larger divine purpose – worthy to come true. Seeing our own divine power as co-creators is a seed of faith we are capable to grow.

I began a new daily practice at the time of my birthday as I was choosing my seeds of intention for the coming year. I was willing to invest everything I could to turn some things around in my life. My most important new daily practice was begun by simply NOT turning on the TV in the morning. Starting my day in silence became the most critical element in my daily practice.

I start each day lighting candles and burning sage and sweetgrass as a symbolic way to clear the air and to call sacred the time I would spend with myself in Spirit. I turn to the Mayan calendar for the inspiration of the day, though one could turn to any resource or faith for inspiration.

This was a fairly simple practice to put into place, yet it has lead to some profound personal changes. I found a new freedom from commercial programming. I realized how I was constantly irritated by programming that was telling me “what everyone thinks” and “what’s on trend” – i.e., what I need to buy to be equal to everyone else.

Suddenly, I was getting so much more out of the time I set aside for myself. I didn’t WANT to turn on the TV because I was too busy in the process of learning and growing. The whole attraction of watching TV simply fell away. I couldn’t remember why it was so difficult to turn off.

To all my relations, I am grateful for the Gifts of Spirit so freely available whenever we choose to turn to them. Show me a way to grow my seed of faith into something more beautiful so I may learn and know how powerful we really are.

in lak’ech, i am another you
grateful on this Thanksgiving Day for the blessing of your presence in my life

7 Offering/MULUC – Clearing and Purification

7 Offering/MULUC (Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA)

7 Offering/MULUC

7 Offering/MULUC

Galactic tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of divine will. With a keen sense of ethics, seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.

Offering/MULUC: Also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in offering people and so extend them little trust and may even slap blame on them.

Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA  BO EO  IW:  The River is symbolized by The Milky Way, the Gihli’Utsun’stanun’yi “Where the Dog Ran” to gather the souls for Heaven.  The River is the minion for Grandfather Moon.  Long Man is the personification of the River stretching from the mountains to the lowlands, speaking to those who can understand.  People of this sign find “sermons in the stones” and good in everything.  These souls march to a different drummer, driven by inner volcanic forces.  The River is the “Fountain of Life” and represents the fluid of the cosmos to fluids in the body, with the energy to clear all karmic debts, personally and on a mass level with fluidity and grace.  The Moon controls our fluid cycle, to clear and understand emotional issues.  When you take this step to clear the emotional body, then you are ready for transformational energies at the next level.  As humans, our actions are ruled by our emotions, the key is to understand the connection and honor the emotions.

Clearing and Purification

7 Offering/MULUC has the power to touch our deepest emotions and bring them into our consciousness. Seven is the Tone of Reflection and Spirit. With a deeper clarity of vision we are capable to see that our experiences are not the true source of our suffering. Instead, Muluc reveals that our sorrow is born from those place where we may be stuck – believing that we are unworthy, or somehow, not enough.

Muluc offers a way through Sacred Ceremony to dissolve our feelings of separation and to bring new healing through purification. We are empowered to create our own ceremony. We have the power to create something sacred… for what we call sacred is SO, only by our own definition. That which we approach as sacred focuses all our attention into the present moment where we can create an enduring memory of our connection to Spirit.

Muluc reminds us of Baptism as the a sacred ceremony of ritual bathing. We can call forth water as the descending light of Spirit as our source for purification. (Ta t’se clo ee ee eh) Under the trecena of Night/AKBAL we are guided by the unseen forces from the great beyond. We are free to make our own choices on how we may bring all which needs to be healed into sacred ceremony for purification.

When we are returned to wholeness, we are empowered to see the stories that define us with a new understanding. We can move beyond our sorrow, to see how every experience has provided a source for empowerment as blessings in disguise.

To all my relations, thank you for the unseen helpers who guide me on a journey to my wholeness. Give me the courage to feel what needs to be healed so that I can see how every experience holds a deeper meaning and purpose.

6 Star/LAMAT – A Time for Multiplication

6 Star/LAMAT (Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA  ZP 4T)

6 Star/LAMAT

6 Star/LAMAT

Galactic Tone 6: Flow. Six is responsiveness, and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse. In this “Black Hole” state, Stars are prone to verbal jousting and arguing to force their point of view on everyone.

Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA  ZP 4T: Symbol-Venus, The Morning Star cycle of 260 days and Evening Star cycle of another 260 days, inspired the 13 numbers, 20 Day sign Sacred Calendar.  Rabbit is the Trickster of Cherokee culture, matching the Coyote in other nations.  The personification of Light and New Life, Sunrise, the scion of the Moon-Father of earth children, the Rabbit is fertility, be fruitful and multiply.  Represents softness, gentleness and vulnerability. LAMAT– Totem Rabbit.  Energies of re-birth, regeneration, ripening, harvest and abundance.  This person is overflowing with love energy in all areas of life.  Spiritual growth is natural and with ease due to the unconditional love energy that flows.

A Time for Multiplication

Why do I follow the Mayan Calendar? Because it brings greater meaning and purpose to my life. Anything that helps me focus on what I desire to accomplish while offering a plan to move towards it is a valuable and worthy Spirit Tool. Though, the Mayan Calendar and other indigenous calendar systems offer far more. They reconnect us to the natural cycles within ourselves and in our world.

Being in tune with the natural world around us generates different and noticeable experiences. The Mayan Calendar is often referred to as ‘the calendar of synchronicity’ by those who follow it. This is due to the sudden realizations, inspirations, insights, recognitions, or comprehensions that frequently occur – as the calendar reveals evidence that we are exactly where we were meant to be.

It is within our nature to respond to the forces of nature around us. We see dark clouds and we take cover. We see the crops heavy with their fruit and know it is time to harvest. With a means of following natural cycles, we can see which way the river flows. We find we can go farther swimming with the current instead of against it. Following a calendar that is synchronized to natural cycles, we become more finely tuned to see the signs and synchronicity in everything we do.

Think back to your own experiences of synchronicity. Maybe you were in a far-off place and run into the neighbor from around the corner. Or, maybe it was as simple as pulling up to the grocery store just as the best parking becomes available. Even small experiences of synchronicity capture our attention to reflect on why were there in that moment. The synchronistic events I have experienced while following the cycles of the Mayan calendar are frequent and are as meaningful as the discovery that there truly is ‘a time for every purpose under heaven.’

Today is 6 Star/LAMAT. Tone 6 is flow and the art of negotiation and LAMAT defines this day as the ‘time for multiplication.’ We can ride the current of LAMAT as the force of nature that multiplies whatever we focus upon.

I can think of no focus more worthy than peace and happiness for everyone. Though it may seem a goal too far out of reach, through multiplication we are each made exponentially more powerful.

Today I wanted to share an article that moved me – a message and voice that deserves to be multiplied.

“Security”; The Word of the Day

To all my relations, may we be empowered by the forces of nature around us to bring peace and harmony into our world.
