5 Deer/MANIK (Hand) – Spirit Tools

5 Deer/MANIK (Hand), (Cherokee Deer Ahwu’sdi)

5 Deer/MANIK

5 Deer/MANIK

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural networkers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

Visit the Tolkin Page for resources and additional insight on the trecena, Night/AKBAL.

Spirit Tools

On 5 Deer/MANIK we are empowered with new Spiritual Gifts – the tools needed at this time to help us move forward. Deer/MANIK is eager to help us out, drawing from every Spirit Tool it has ever used. Deer/MANIK has the vision to see our unlimited potential and to know exactly what is needed.

We are reminded by Deer that Silence is a powerful tool. Only in silence are we able to hear what Spirit would have us know. And in silence, we are also given the eyes to see and experience our creation in Spirit.  When we experience our dream with a deep sense of gratitude, we are opened to see how empowered we truly are as co-creators in the world.

As with any new tool, we may find ourselves establishing a new practice. We can be confident that while we may be learning something new, Deer offers us the gift of Spiritual protection, pushing away bad influences and negative energies.

To all my relations, may I live in gratitude for the many gifts I am offered from Spirit. Help me to remember that the stillness within is the place of my ultimate power where I may receive the Spirit Tools that Deer would choose especially for me.

4 Transformer/CIMI – Stabilizing Balance

4 Transformer/CIMI (Cherokee, TAKATO’KA     WSVS)

4 Transformer/CIMI

4 Transformer/CIMI

Galactic Tone 4: Stability. Four is the cube the most stable of all forms, and the establishment of volume by definition. The four directions give orientation to any form as the height, length, depth and breadth give shape to any form. The energy of Four sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.

Transformer/CIMI: Cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Transformer persons achieve goals and emotional wealth. Transformer people can become highly respected business persons. They have the ability to help others through any and all transitions with tranquility due to their spiritual strength and guidance. Communities often benefit from Transformers discipline and organization skills. They strengthen the life of pregnant women and guide them through the transitions of maternity. Establishing contact with the ancestors activates innate psychic abilities, gifts to be used as tools to assist others. Transformers can have the ability to send evil intentions telepathically, this is their undoing. From these acts they lose power, easily fall into a victim role and begin to manipulate with a vengeance. A good day to tie all loose ends.

Cherokee, Twins/ TAKATO’KA     WSVS: Twins symbolize the Female Sun and Male Moon, whose union keeps the world going round. Cherokee myth has the Morning Star heralding the Sun, Venus, also being the Evening Star as representing the TWINS. The energy brings major changes all throughout life, riding the tsunamis of earthquake and upheaval, making their own waves wherever they go. They undergo powerful transformations, alternating like a flashing neon sign. The challenge is to master Balance while experiencing Chaos leading to re-birth and abundance through infinity.

Stabilizing Balance

Under the 13-day trecena of Night/AKBAL we come face to face with our deepest held beliefs. Through the transformative energy of CIMI, we are guided to see what may need to live, die, or be reborn. CIMI helps us move on from worn out ideas to establish our new footing in an unlimited world.

When old thought patterns surface we may see what empowerment may come from a new way of thinking. We may see how our dreams, too, may need to undergo some transformation.

In traditional Medicine Wheel teaching, every step includes a fall… the moment when we are off balance in-between steps.  Tone 3 represented our first steps. Now at Tone 4, we regain our balance. Here, we can try new things with a confidence that nothing is ever lost as CIMI reminds us that anything can be reborn as something better.

To all my relations, help me to navigate the changes in my life. Help me to hold on lightly to the beliefs and ideas that I may hold dear, so I may be opened to a new transformation.

3 Serpent/CHICCHAN – Bringing Dreams to Life

3 Serpent/CHICCHAN (Cherokee, Serpent/Do’tsi  VK)

3 Serpent/CHICCHAN

3 Serpent/CHICCHAN

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.

Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI VK: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.

Visit the Tolkin Page for resources and additional insight on the trecena, Night/AKBAL.

Bringing Dreams to Life

The first 2 days of the trecena give us direction for the 13-day cycle. Our purpose on Tone 1 was to be open to receive new inspiration – a new idea or intention we desire to bring forward. On Tone 2 our idea took form as we considered what it could be. Tone 1 and 2 work together as the foundation for our first forward movement.

On Galactic Tone 3 we are ready to take action. We breathe life into our dream. Through our voice and movement, the dream is born into vibration.

Serpent/Chicchan arrives as the great teacher of communication and movement. Serpent is fluid and flexible. “Aligned with authority and truth,” Serpent calls us to move forward from a place of our highest integrity. Serpent helps us to see how our Earthly plan may serve a higher purpose. We are guided by Spirit so that what we create may serve the highest good of all.

To all my relations, help me to stand in the place of my highest integrity. Help me to seek to serve the good of all over my own self interests, so my dream may serve its highest purpose.

2 Seed/KAN – Creators of Destiny

2 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon/ UKTE’NA   O’STO)

2 Seed/KAN

2 Seed/KAN

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less and less fertile environments.

Cherokee, 2 Dragon/UKTE’NA   O’STO: Dragon’s symbol is Draco winding beween the Little Dipper and Big Dipper. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, symbol of dual personality of Corn Mother and Maiden. Fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means ” eye, to look at, to see clearly”. Spirit brings energy of Lawgiver, Justice, vigilance and protective, loyal unto death. Ley lines in China are “dragon lines”, energy is sometimes called “orgone energy”, pyramid power or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth. Totem-Lizard. You enter carrying a heavy net of karmic debts, this energy helps you make amends to your self and others, dissolve debts, power of growth. The Lizard symbolizes wild sexual passions that you must balance.

Creators of Destiny

We are guided by Seed/KAN to see our place as co-creators in the world. In the heart of every seed is the dream of what it will become. Seed shows us that when it is given the right climate and soil to grow, a small kernel can return an abundant harvest.

On Galactic Tone 2, we are given the right to choose the seeds of intentions we will cultivate during this 13-day trecena. The seeds most capable of flourishing are the ones we’re most willing to give our time and attention to. Night/AKBAL guides us to look inward to our deepest heart’s desire… the dream we would choose if anything was possible. Herein lies the kernel we would passionately give our every attention to.

The dreams we hold most dear, in reality, are the seeds we are most capable of cultivating… as the seeds of our own divine purpose.

To all my relations, give me the faith to see that all things are possible. As I consider new seeds of intention, give me the courage to seek within the place of my deepest longing.

Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void. a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation.. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night, much as the Owl described above.  Belief is so strong that the surrounding elements become entrained to their rhythm and all resistance falls away. Unlimited Potential

On 1 Night/AKBAL we begin a new 13-day cycle of creation. Our guide, Night/AKBAL brings light to our destiny and life purpose. Akbal is capable to see our full potential drawn from the deepest desires of our unconscious self. Here, anything is possible. We are guided to throw out the preconceived notions of our limitations… to dream the BIG dream.

Akbal empowers us with a limitless vision of who we are and what we may become. Over the course of the next 13-days, we will be guided to see how our dreams could really come true.

On Tone 1, we are gifted with new inspiration and seeds of intention for the new cycle. We may choose to pursue earlier intentions from a place of new understanding. Or, we may choose something new.

This is a day suited to quiet introspection. We may find ourselves struggling to complete ordinary tasks. Our highest good is served by being present to receive the inspiration that Akbal will bring forward. By setting aside the personal time we can be prepared to chart our course to begin our journey aimed in a right direction.

For today, we are guided to wait in the darkness for the first light of inspiration.

To all my relations, may we wait with confident expectation of a dream unfolding. May I be ignited with the passion of seeing my own life’s purpose and be opened to receive the abundance born from all possibility.

13 Wind/IK – Circle of Life

13 Wind/IK (Cherokee Whirlwind Agalu’ga)

13 Wind/IK

13 Wind/IK

Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.

Wind/IK: Breath of spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. They are dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations. Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as if carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent and fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by put on airs. When wind strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.

Cherokee, Whirlwind Agalu’ga: The Cherokee symbol of the whirlwind is a double spiral helix in rising smoke and related to the direction of the North. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers) and the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer.

Circle of Life

Life begins with the in-breath of Spirit and upon the final out-breath ends with the Spirit’s ascension from the body. Together, 13 (Ascension) and Wind/IK (Breath) illustrate the full circle of life.

Wind blows to capture our attention and to bring us into the present moment. Wind/IK carries the voice of our Creator. What is the first message that Great Spirit would want to share?

The first trecena to follow the Maya New Year on 8 Batz (the day of beginning) is Earth/Caban. Mother Earth is the first gift of the Creator. In every direction, we are shown the beauty of a Mother’s unconditional love that longs to sustain and nurture us. Our first and most important message from the Creator is, “You are Loved.”

Dog/OC has carried the second trecena of the New Year. Through the very representation of ‘man’s best friend’ we are shown How to love. We have been shown the places within us that resist giving love, so through our healing we may become an opened vessel. We have been reminded that the Spirits of our Ancestors live on as an ever-present source of Love and Guidance. Spirit’s prevailing message through the Dog/OC trecena is, “Love One Another.”

On Galactic Tone 13, we are now ready to take our very first steps. We stand at a new horizon having just learned how to walk, and Dog/OC has shown the way to share our Love in the new world.

To all my relations, may we be ever grateful for the greatest gifts of Love given by the Creator. May we lift our voices to the Wind so our prayers may be carried to the Great Spirit. Then, may we wait in the stillness to listen for Spirit’s answer.

12 Crocodile/IMIX – The Apprentice

12 Crocodile/IMIX (Cherokee, Turtle/DAK’SI  I’SB)

12 Crocodile/IMIX

12 Crocodile/IMIX

Galactic Tone 12: Twelve is a gift of great capacity of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.

Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.

Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI   I’SB: Turtle Island; direction East. The Turtle Constellation Orion, one of three stars in the Cosmic Egg. In Mayan is the Cosmic Hearth. Turtle is the Energy of Creative force at the one-on-one, personal level; dawn, awakening, birth. The beginning of each new era, this star in Orion appears with the rising Sun, heralding the creation of a new World cycle.

Cherokee, IMIX: Totem-Dragon. The energy to understand all things sacred; creation energy, connection for visions, to learn the mysteries of the Universal Knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.

The Apprentice

As we draw to a close the 13-Day trecena of Dog/OC at Tone 12 we see the world with a new understanding. Our eyes and ears are opened with a great capacity for retrospection and discernment.

“When the student is ready the teacher appears.”

IMIX steps forward as our teacher to speak to us personally, one-on-one, from the great beyond. In the order of creation, Tone 12 is the point where we are drawn to see where our journey has led us. We are seating our understanding for a new cycle. We are awakened by IMIX with primal messages that reveal how our journey is part of a much larger plan.

We may be awakened to a new part of ourselves that we have been unable to see. We may be given a new vision of clarity to see how the threads of our experience are woven into the whole.

Who can say what we might learn? We are able to receive to the extent of our own expectation.

To all my relations, help me to be a good student. May I show up for the teacher IMIX with all the humility, attention, and respect worthy of the grand teacher who’s come to speak to me one-on-one of the great mysteries to reveal the unseen forces that guide me.

11 Sun/Ahau – In Memory, Ian Xel Lungold

In Memory, Ian Xel Lungold, 12 Sun/Ahau
January 26, 1949 – November 16, 2005

11 Sun/Ahau (Cherokee, Flower/Gun’tsi)

11 Sun/Ahau

11 Sun/Ahau

Galactic Tone 11: Resolution; 11 assists every new thing to find it’s place in the universe in the process of ‘fitting in.’ some modifications must occur. Eleven is the energy of dynamic actions facilitating change, simplification and improvement.

Sun/Ahau: Day of the ancestors and connection to their guidance. The divine face of the sun – lord, musician, singer, dancer, and marksman. Suns are artistic, heroic athletes, visionaries with wise judgement who lead and defend the people. So much is expected from themselves and by other people that unfulfilled expectations are a certainty. An accumulation of these disappointments may lead Sun to evade responsibitilities, not accept corrections and even build resentment and disdain towards others. Suns should simiplify their lives to be able to rise and shine with unconditional love once again.

Cherokee, Flower/GUN’TSI EK: Symbol is the Sun, place of abode of Great Spirit. The Sun creates, nurtures and is the super communicator, the way station that relays messages and energy from other stars in the galaxy; provides energy for channeling information from the Ancestors; speaking the Living Language of Light, which ignites the consciousness in others. Gold is the color of courage and opportunity of wealth. Creative arts, master craftsman expressing divinity and wisdom through their creations. The face of the flower follows the Sun gathering the fire of creativity, illuminating harmony and balance, resonating peace and continuity within the human spirit. This is the Sign of the Chalice of the Infinite, Caldron of Creation.

In Memory of Ian Xel Lungold

November 16, 2015 marks the 10th anniversary since the passing of Ian Lungold, the teacher who inspired my first connection with the Mayan Calendar. During the mid-1990’s, it became Ian’s mission to create a Conversion Codex for the Mayan Calendar. His search lead him on an important journey to Guatemala where he met with Grand Elder of the Living Maya, Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez, 13th Generation Quiche Mayan High Priest, shaman and elder. Alejandro verified that the calendar count of the codex was correct as per the Maya. Dr. Carl J. Calleman’s study of the Mayan Calendar was also an influence in Ian’s research, and the two became fellow associates in their pursuit of understanding.

Ian’s life passion was to share his knowledge and the significance of the Mayan calendar as a living tool upon which we can realize a deeper connection with one another, and to experience the significance of our place in space and time.

Lungold founded Mayan Majix (mayanmajix.com) in 1998 with the collaboration of Mike Shore, a 3D artist and trained behavioral scientist with a keen interest in the Maya. Shore became Ian’s web developer and together they worked to feature information on the Mayan Calendar. Shore continues to support Ian’s mission through his ongoing work shared via http://www.mayanmajix.com.

It is interesting to note that Ian followed in the footsteps of his Great, Great, Great Grandfather, Johnnie Appleseed (John Chapman). Chapman traveled the frontier planting seeds and distributing tracts of Swedenborg’s spiritual writings, ‘door to cabin door.’ Ian’s birth sign on the Mayan Calendar is 12 Sun/Ahau. See Ian Xel Lungold’s Story

On the Galactic Tone of 11, we are reminded of the dynamic changes that are born upon the wisdom of our Ancestors.

To all my relations, may we give thanks to all the teachers and way showers who bring forward the wisdom of our ancestors, so that we may remember the proven and worthy tools that may serve to guide us still.

10 Storm/CAUAC – Divine Spark

10 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee: Redbird/TOTSU’HWA)

10 Storm/CAUAC

10 Storm/CAUAC

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.

Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Redbird’s symbol is Alcyone of the Pleiades Star in constellation Taurus.  Alcyone is the Central Sun of the Universe, heart of heaven. Lightning is the visible evidence of the presence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky, daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Redbird is a feminine sign; the hand that rocks the cradle. The symbol of nurturing, the lightning nurtures and energizes, with energy for zest, curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak. Sacred stones such as flint, obsidian, crystal are created by lightning striking the ground.

Divine Spark

As the Day Sign of lightning and thunder, Storm/CAUAC offers dramatic evidence of the unseen forces that flow through and around us. Plasma is the most prevalent (known) matter in our universe, though we rarely see it until it is evidenced as light through lightning or static electricity.

Under this 13-day trecena we are guided by the Day Sign of Dog/OC to see how our dreams may be empowered by unconditional love. Through Dog’s example of faithfulness, patience, forgiveness, and forbearance, we see that we can bend to the needs of others without compromising our own integrity. We better see that through the spirit of cooperation our dreams and intentions are elevated to a higher purpose.

On Galactic Tone 10, the Tone of Manifestation, we see evidence of something new. The Divine Spark of Storm/Cauac reveals something previously unseen.

To all my relations, open my eyes to what Spirit would have me see.

8 Earth/Caban – Life Source

8 Earth/Caban (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)

8 Earth/CABAN

8 Earth/CABAN

Galactic Tone 8: Harmony and balance are the intent of eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “neat freaks”.

Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.

Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way.

“The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hail)

Life Source

Tone 8 brings harmony and balance to our world of Earth/CABAN. Inspired by Wisdom/CIB, we can now draw on ancient wisdom to bring new order to our lives and new balance to our relations. Returned to the source of our beginnings, once again we can draw from the ‘knowing’ that we are all connected. The path of nature carries us through our lives and around again to its beginning to transform us into something new.

Earth’s energy is a source we may draw upon to anchor our Spirit center. In traditional practice this may be done by setting sacred shrines in each of the 4 directions, each the same distance from the Center (your home or a sacred space). A stone or other medicine object is buried in the Earth at each location with the blessing of cornmeal, tobacco, water, and prayers offered to the ancestors and to the 4 directions. All sacred ceremony may be performed in practice, or by intention in Spirit. The most powerful sacred ceremonies are the ones we create for ourselves.

To all my relations, may I be given new eyes to see the blessings of Mother Earth – so that I may honor the beauty that surrounds me in every direction, and the sustenance and source of every living thing.
