
A New Identity
Human beings are primarily distinguished from other creatures by advanced cognitive abilities, including complex symbolic language, abstract reasoning, and cumulative cultural evolution. These unique traits allow humans to create art, technology, and social institutions, alongside a unique capacity for shared intentionality, morality, and self-reflection. Humans have the capacity to share wisdom accumulated by reason and by demonstration, to be carried on by generations that follow.
One thing we have in common with all living things is the “identity imprint” that defaults to Love. All living things identify with the one who claims us as one of their own.
Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
We can’t identify with the thoughts of the Author of our Creation. But we can identify with the Son of God who lived and died in the flesh as another Human Being, and who shared his Wisdom as the Living Word.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
