View to the East beyond the Medicine Wheel, Sunrise at the Ranch in Mounds, OK

Minisa Crumbo, Dawnwoman, shares her Breath of Spirit in her book Spirit Talk: a count of days that was the encouragement to write a journal. Our paths crossed for Sacred Ceremony in 2002. She’s a Strong Medicine of the Wind and Creative Breath. She blew me right into a Sun/Moon Dance, and pushed me off go toward the Dream of Ek’ Balam. Minisa is an Artist of Life and Expression that connects Us to the Medicine Circle in Oklahoma.

Minisa holds the Inheritance of Marcellus “Bear Heart” Williams, the Uncle who raised her up on the traditional path of the shaman. The rich accounting of the way he was taught is written in “The Wind is my Mother.” Minisa also draws on the Wisdom of the Sacred Pottawatomie tradition of her heritage, holding the Wisdom of the Sacred words of the Pottawatomie passed to her from Donald Perrot, Member and Elder of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. By sharing time together on this path, this becomes a part of your own Spiritual Lineage. The Tzolk’in’s synchronicity often connects people who were far apart but floating down the same river all along. Minisa always encourages to “Breathe and Be Breathed,” claim the “Sacred Right of Choice,” and to “BE Alive in a Living World!” Minisa’s words disseminate the Breath of Life and Spirit.

Minisa shares stories of her father, Woody Crumbo, on an Interview on “Voices of Oklahoma.”

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Kin,

The Peak Tone 6 brings us the Momentum of Movement that draws us into the Rhythm and Flow of Divine Spirit. The energy of Tone 6 facilitates dynamic developments.

We’ve invested a Human effort in an Intention of Faith. We can See that by our own Divine Intentions the Creators’ Promise of Intervention is ours to Claim. We’re given the Second Wind of Seeing our own Dreams within our Grasp. With Higher Faith, we can See and Acknowledge the Beauty of our own Dance of Standing Still right where we are in the Truth that the Creator has revealed through our effort of Consciousness.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan Priest, the one who offers all the Spiritual Tools of Consciousness and shows us how to use them through a personal demonstration. It’s the Destiny of Deer/MANIK to built the Sacred Fires, to be Vigilant to Observe the Offerings made at each of the 20 altars that Honor all the Perspectives and Ways of a Divine Creator, the All-In-One Above.

Deer has the power to push negativity away by standing in the Center of the Sacred Circle of the world we are creating, anchoring our Truth, Integrity, Unconditional Love, Forgiveness, Gratitude, and the Wisdom of All our Spiritual Gifts. MANIK stands to uphold the Pillars of the world of Beauty that is held within our Heart and Mind to Create for the purpose of Sharing it with Each Other.

6 Deer/MANIK calls us into the Divine Service we were Created for. Gathering all the Gifts of Spirit that we have been Blessed to Know through our own Experience, we are Given the Vision of a Purpose that transforms the Meaning of our Lives into an Expression of Service to Humanity, Loving the All-in-One Below.

Today the Intention and Way of the Deer, elevated in our Consciousness, is magnified through a Divine Alignment. 6 Deer/MANIK is the Year Bearer for this Haab year, the 365 “vague year” calendar that reflects Planetary Cycles of Evolution and Transformation. 6 Deer/MANIK reflects a Planetary Calling to a Mission of Divine Service. It marks the Divine Intention of the Year for the Whole of Humanity, and the Meaning and Purpose of the Whole of our Inspiration and our own Personal Experiences. The Whole of our experience was leading us to the Intention of this Day, and the way that would be shown to us through the nuhaul of the totem Deer. Today’s Gift of Spirit was given to be Seen and Acknowledged by the All-In-One Below, to make Self-Evident the All-In-One Above.

6 Deer / MANIK – Mission of Spirit: Day 6 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Kin,

Tone 6 is the first day of Peak Energy in this cycle of Spiritual Growth. The energy of Tone 6 facilitates dynamic developments. Compared to a great athlete, Tone 6 draws upon all its practice, strength, and talent to generate the momentum of forward movement.

MANIK is also known as Hand. The glyph illustrates a Human Hand with the thumb and forefinger grasping an Element of Ether to complete a circuit of Divine Energy.

Deer/MANIK is Day Sign of the Mayan Priest, and the bringer of Spiritual Tools. Deer is said to keep every Spiritual Tool it has ever used. Deer presents the Spiritual Tool to overcome our limitation. Deer is the Spiritual Leader and Divine Authority that draws God’s Hand of Divine Intervention in the Human affairs of the world.

Deer’s first and most important Spiritual Tool is Vigilance. Deer/MANIK dedicates itself to watching over the Whole. MANIK holds the Authority to serve others on behalf of the Creator.

THE HAAB NEW YEAR: 6 Deer/MANIK, Galactic Week 1 Wind/IK
The Haab calendar is referred to as the “vague year” 365-day calendar. The Haab reflects the planetary cycle, the influences of the world around us. We’ve completed a Year that was Search for Truth under the Galactic Week of Flint, the Day Sign that reveals Truth that was hidden. The former Year Bearer, 5 Wind/IK guided the world toward a new Empowerment of Spirit. We begin a new year holding Power of Truth, and Higher Consciousness of our Spiritual Gifts to Discern for our Self. A Year led by 6 Deer/MANIK will shift our Awareness toward being of Divine Service to One Another. Together we will be Transformed by wielding the Sword of Truth under the Authority of a Supreme Creator. We will become the Agents of the Creator’s Divine Justice, extending the Blessing of Unconditional Love.

The 12th Uinal The 12th Uinal of the Tzolk’in holds a Higher Intention of Understanding. The Wind/IK trecena resides in this 20-day cycle that Transforms our Comprehension of Truth for the Ascension of this 260-day Tzolk’in round. The 260-days represent a Full Harvest Cycle of Human Transformation. We are approaching the Ascension to a New “I Am.”

The 260 days are related to the gestation cycle of Corn, as the Maya saw Corn as the symbol of The People. It also relates to the two cycles of Venus. 12 is the “fruit bearing” energy of the harvest cycle. The Seed of Each Harvest represents a Higher Initiation of Consciousness.

We are in a Higher State of Being today than we were yesterday, while we are in a Lower State of Being than who we will be tomorrow. They each have a Divine Purpose. Without our Lower Self, we can’t experience our Higher Self. MANIK can harmonize our Higher and Lower self through a Shared Meaning and Purpose.

Through our Connection to the Creator we can Know that both our Lower and Higher Self are Loved Unconditionally. As an Agent of God, we must Love One Another and Love both sides of our Self. As an Agent that serves a Higher Authority, we must carry out the Intention of Harmony and Equity. We must be impartial in our effort of Love.

Deer/MANIK has a Special Spiritual Gift of Harmonic Resonance. Deer holds a Power of Being. Vigilant in its Consciousness of Spirit, Deer Resonates in the Vibration of Pure Love. Deer’s Love generates a magnetic attraction that is capable to draw Lower Frequencies into sympathy.

The priest or shaman of Maya tradition held a Silent Position of Authority in the Community. The Priest made the scheduled Offerings at the Altars on behalf of the Whole, and performed Sacred Ceremony to maintain Harmony in the Community. The Maya priests are Wisdom Keepers, Healers, and Fire Tenders. They maintain a Divine Communion with the Above on Behalf of the Below.

6 Deer/MANIK guides us to a Rhythm and Flow of Movement that sustains our own Grasp of a Divine Connection. A position of Divine Authority requires our Humility. Our best service is offered behind the scenes, fortifying our own Divine Connection.

As an Agent of Divine Authority, Deer must be impeccable in its integrity. With Power comes the potential for corruption. Deer is Vigilant to push away negative thoughts and influences. We engage Divine Power through Vigilant Consciousness. In a position of Divine Authority, more is asked than just having Good Intentions. We must be led by Divine Intentions.

Like MANIK watches over the Community, so are we watched over by a Divine Authority. Standing on that Truth, alone, can set us free.

To all my relations, may we use our Spiritual Gifts to Stand for what we Believe. May we Draw Strength by living each day as a Sacred Event – a day that can make a difference. May we Know that in our Human limitations, we will be given the Power to Overcome them. May we move forward with Purpose and a Commitment to Remember for each other.

6 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

6 Deer / MANIK – Living as a Creator: Day 6

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Kin,

Tone 6 is the first day of Peak Energy in this cycle of Spiritual Growth. The energy of Tone 6 facilitates dynamic developments. Compared to a great athlete, Tone 6 draws upon all its practice, strength, and talent to generate the momentum of forward movement.

Deer/MANIK is our guide to a realization of our own transformation. MANIK is also known as Hand, which acknowledges our Divine Purpose to be an Extension of the Creator. The glyph illustrates a Human Hand with the thumb and forefinger grasping an Element of Ether. The thumb and forefinger of the right hand respectively represent our Divine Will (right thumb ruled by the Sun/AHAU, the Divine Masculine), and our Divine Discernment (right forefinger ruled by Crocodile/IMIX, the Divine Feminine). Through the “Will to Discern” Sacred Wisdom, we complete a circuit of Divine Energy.

Deer/MANIK is Day Sign of the Mayan Priest, and the bringer of Spiritual Tools. Deer is said to keep every Spiritual Tool it has ever used. Deer is a Blue Day Sign of the West. West is the direction that calls the response of our Lower Self to new life experience. As our Lower Self offers its fear of limitation, Deer presents the Spiritual Tool to overcome it. Deer is God’s Hand of Divine Intervention in the Human affairs of the world.

On 6 Deer/MANIK we are geared for our Highest Performance of Spiritual Growth, through an Employment of all our Spiritual Tools. Deer’s first and most important Spiritual Tool is Vigilance, the tool that it uses to Discern its own Movement. This is also the first Peak Day in the 12 Uinal of Understanding.

6 Deer / MANIK – Voice of Creation

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

6 Deer / MANIK

6 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

The Wind/IK trecena is leading us to a deeper understanding of our Inherent Role as Creators. We’ve learned that every creation is first conceived by Spirit. Our Sacred Intention is the Seed that defines what it may become. We begin the process of germination when we invest ourselves to bring our inspiration into Being.

CIMI helped us to understand the symptoms and signs of a Creation in Progress. Our creation is unrecognizable during its first stages of development. The chaos we feel is the vulnerability of our Intention, reaching for Life as a fragile sprout. Our Creation calls us to draw what is needed to take root so our creation might grow into the fullness of its Being.

Tone 6 begins the peak energy of this cycle of transformation. Compared to the energy of a great athlete in motion, Tone 6 establishes momentum through a flow and rhythm of movement. We emerge from the chaos of the unknown and begin to realize our progress.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan Priest that demonstrates our Role as Divine Co-Creators. By Answering Our Call to Serve as the Hand of God, our Creation is empowered by its Highest Purpose.

Daykeeper’s Journal:

Path of Beauty, Grace, and Power

The trecena of Wind/IK is guiding us on the journey of chaos that precedes personal changes and every new creation. At Tone 6, we are establishing our new sense of balance. Deer/MANIK is a highly spiritual day with energy likened to the powerful stag. Deer brings the Spirit Tools to help us move through life with beauty, grace and power.

Deer lifts us up beyond our own limitations. Living life as a pilgrimage, Deer/MANIK has mastered the art of movement. Upholding the pillars of the 4 directions, Deer is capable to guide us in any direction.

Deer teaches us to wait in patient silence so we will know when to move and when to stand still. As Deer, we are empowered to sense the unseen so that we can move swiftly beyond any danger. As Deer, we may leap with joy and unbounded freedom when we see a way is clear. As Deer, we are established as a Spirit Guide for others, embodying the Love and Silent Power of the Divine Spirit.

To all my relations, may we be blessed by the Spirit Tools of Deer/MANIK who never stays in one place, but is forever on a journey. May we learn to face life’s challenges with the silent confidence, knowing we reside under the protection and care of the Divine Spirit who meets our every need. May our walk be a path of beauty that lights a way for others to follow.
