SPACEWEATHER: The Sun Forgets, and Fly-bys from China

A Two-Cycle Trend

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 09/01/2026

THE SUN IS ABOUT TO LOSE ITS MEMORY: That’s the surprising conclusion of a new study by researchers at the University of Oulu in Finland. The team examined 180 years of the aa index (a record of geomagnetic activity stretching back to 1844) and found that after odd-numbered solar cycles, the sun forgets what happened in the past.

We’re approaching such a moment now, as Solar Cycle 25 descends from its peak.

Their research begins with the little-known “Gnevyshev-Ohl rule.” Discovered in 1948, this rule says that solar cycles come in pairs, with the odd-numbered half stronger than the even. Take a look at this historical plot of sunspot numbers.

The Word: Whirlwind of Life (1 Wind/IK)

The Power of the Word

John 1:1, 2, 3 KJV

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

The Word was the primary means of expression. The expression is the Source and Substance of the Word. The Creator’s Words hold the Power of Creation. Whatever was spoken was manifested in the end.

The Old Testament laid down the Law for Human Beings who came before the offering of Christ and the Holy Spirit. Atonement was dependent upon a blood sacrifice. The Law was the Perfect Justice of linear reason (ie. and eye for an eye). Jesus turned it all around when he offered his body and blood as a Spotless Human Being born of a Human Mother.  Our Salvation was the Spirit manifested from the death of a Divine Human Being. That was the beginning of a New Testament and a Law that only a Divine Spirit can carry out on Earth.

Life is a Whirlwind and a perfect Storm that can turn things around with the Power of a Hurricane – or a Flood.

2 Wind / IK – The Sacred Berries

Oil 11×14″ Crumbo

Greetings Kin,

Minisa Crumbo’s beautiful painting for the Wesak has had me thinking about the Sacred Berries of Spring. I thought what a blessing they must have been after the winter as an offering from nature that appears for the first harvest. I asked Minisa, 1 Wind/IK, if she would share the story and she has been gracious to share.

Many thanks and much appreciation, Minisa, for sharing the story as it was passed down.

much love, in lak’ech, Debra

Autumn 2016: Part 3

by Minisa Crumbo Halsey

Here we depart from the known and embark on forging medicine relationships with the essential healing qualities of the plant beings directly. So much information of loving substance and value has been lost to us, forgotten, hidden from us, punished, co-opted or discredited and yet many alternative restorative and healing continue to reveal themselves as ‘new’ or surface in the grass roots research labs of suffering and need, our own and that of others. Courage must be summoned to think deeply about want and need. Talking, reading, observing the good old ways of establishing honest relationships with every aspect of a condition and then stepping out with new eyes, trusting, testing and flexing the new muscle of intuition first on small conditions and then the larger and then the largest.

A Medicine Teaching by Minisa Crumbo Halsey

Rabbit Brush’ Golden Flowers Time
By the natural calendar, autumn arrives now, in the southwest, with chokecherry picking, making chicos (horno roasted sweet corn), roasting and drying of red and green chiles, mud plastering of adobe buildings and restoring trips into the mountains. The long pinion fires which will not go out until spring, have not yet been lit. The short fire cook and smoke but are not yet needed for heat

Staking or marking with string, the medicinal roots, barks and berries which will be gathered when the green plant tops die back with the first frosts and before the snow falls hiding where you thought the plant lived. Beginning to make the house, barn, fence, field and ditch repairs, taking care to think of us all; the songs, dances and prayers that life might go on ‘in a good way’; the waters; the four-leggeds; those that swim, crawl, fly and move very slowly; the homes; the stored seeds of seven years; the Spirits of Place;  the ancestors and those yet to come, and of us, the two-leggeds.

These things and more take up their place in our new songs. We recount the days.  Continued…

SUMMER — the 21 Days before Autumn Begins

SUMMER — the 21 Days before Autumn Begins

THE AUTUMNAL TWILIGHTS BEGIN & THE 13 BLUE CORN MOONS MEASURE TIME

The night after the Capricorn Full Moon is velvety black and silent. The moon casts the weakest of shadows and illuminates nothing beneath the trees and the following morning is still and quiet.

The Summer Suns begins to move us into the edges of all twilight. The Summer Sun leads us forward into the Autumn by softening the fiery mental resolves and physical intentions, by sponsoring the moist marriage hearts urge to seed and all the while, the Sun Spirit slowly continues winding the cyclical fibers of being upon the spool of spiral time, drawing us forward, binding the drying stalks and fruits into sheaves of harvest.

Setting Sacred Intention

A CIMI TRECENA MESSAGE by Minisa Crumbo Halsey

Mother Earth Holds Vision of New Life

Mother Earth Holds the Vision of New Life*

Late and heavy snowfalls, rain and floods accompany Cimi the Transformer, bearing the moisture necessary to soften seed skins toughened by the sunlight and heat of three seasons past. No season stands alone and no breath is unlinked to any previous history which give us cause to ‘remember’ this trecena, that the Mayan elders would call upon us to meditate upon ancestral seed, memory and wisdom.

Would we also remember that certain elders have told us that “the calendar did not end in 2012 and that it is ‘up to us’ to begin writing the new Books of Days and calendars”? This then, is the Sacred Charge of OUR time and we need look no further than the first, most beautiful and enduring gift to us from the Creator, Master of All Breath, of our Mother Earth and our Father Sky-Sun for the initial paradigms and original instructions.

Therefore, it is always about remembering… for the old ones say, “It is not whether you will do ‘it’ but whether you will remember it”, and, at the core of our remembering lives our sacred nature and the sacredness of all creation.” ~Minisa
